crafts fair
i´ve been meaning to post this earlier, but somehow didn´t come around to it.
last saturday (the one before i went to ny) i went to a little crafts fair in my city here. a lot of etsy people were there selling their crafts. i got a beautiful little handmade purse! couldn´t be happier! i´m so glad i also get to see this side of the states!

the big apple
hi there,
i just got back from my first trip to new york city. i´m guessing it won´t be my last, because beside the usual tourist procedure i found that i am fascinated by what is going on away from broadway, 7th and 5th avenue and times square.
our living quarters were in harlem, we saw a mets game in flushing and went to a concert in brooklyn. my favourite place so far is chelsea park, once railroadtrack used by the meatpacking district butchers, now turned oasis with sunset view. below was a biergarten, one of the very german things i actually like, with a line and a bouncer in front. that made me laugh. new yorkers will have to learn german "gemütlichkeit" when visiting a biergarten :D
upon coming back to the upper state, i discovered that the clouds had made way to the sun in the meantime. it only has to warm up too now, the it´ll be perfect! can´t wait for spring weather! (though it is strange to type this in may)
i hope i can add some of my pictures to this post, but blogger is not cooperating at the moment. WHY?
