so here´s one of paul´s early girlfriends,probably the only one who´s really important, because she´s the one paul got engaged to. when she was 16 and he was 17 (i think) she got pregnant and it was decided they should get married. eventhough paul agreed, dot said that when she miscarried the baby three months later, she could see a lot of relief in his eyes. who could blame him. they stayed engaged for a while after that, but paul eventually broke up when the beatles began to take off and he felt he needed more freedom ... i think he ended up with jane asher a year later... still had freedom :D it´s funny that john is always seen as the bad boy among the two, when in fact paul got a girl pregnant first and was much, much younger. and had several girlfriends at the same time... john might have had affairs but he didn´t lead a double life behind his wife´s back. well in a way they all did, but you know what i mean :D

i knew this lovely photograph of them but i´ve never seen it in such good quality. it´s probably taken by mike mccartney and portrays rather perfectly a rocker-couple in the 50s. you gotta love paul´s DA :D

more ruffles, this time in colour

i´m hoping that there´s a big fashion revolution soon and even business men won´t have to stick to boring suits anymore. and just wear whatever they like to wear. or just wear ruffled shirts under their boring suits... meet me in utopia! :D

i was looking for pics of kim moon, when i came across minimadmodmuses. look what i found: kim sitting in keith´s lap at the rock´n´roll circus. another event i would have attended whatever the cost... who wouldn´t.

the one with the hat who´s sharing a giggle with george is david crosby, still short haired member-to-be of crosby, stills and nash. he´s also to be seen at a 66 press conference in L.A.

john during the making of mmt. judging from the pics he was pretty involved in the project even if he rejected it so hard and blamed it on paul afterwards, just because it wasn´t such a huge success... i love it.

69 years ago...

tadaaa! for once i didn´t forget a birthday. i´ve done nothing great, no cake-baking or anything, just a lot of thoughts that hopefully travel to lennon and the occasional happy giggle by listening to the lost weekend version of 'be my baby' on me iPod... heehee

jane said once that she liked living in paris during her early time with serge because she was the girl with the shortest minis there. gives you an idea how short the minis must have been in london... :D

i said i´d be posting about the bailey/deneuve story, but sadly i´m trying to live 32 hour long days when i have only 24 hours. of which i´m sleeping for about 6 hours. means i have to stuff things i would need 32 hours for into 18. that´s why you only get a pic of chatherine photographed by her husband.

so here are basically the same pics as before only uschi is wearing no top. i think they´re the most famous pics of her taken 1969 in her kommune 1 time... the photographer was werner bokelberg, back then a photographer for the stern (a german magazine).

out with the hats

miss peel-pants made a wonderful post about sylvie and her hats, which i choose as an occasion so say something i always wanted to say. wear more hats!
i bought a wonderful purple (well not quite, more pink-ish purple if that makes sense) floppy hat over a year ago and i haven´t worn it once in public. shame, shame... but because i live in a rather small city i would be dubbed ' the girl with the strange hat', just because i´d be the only around wearing a hat (even old ladies gave it up). this autumn i made a vow with meself to wear my beloved hat aswell as many others i haven´t bought yet and as i´m already 'the girl with the strange clothes' i might aswell throw them all over with something purple on my head.
