top hat

isn´t she a cutepie. always loved that pic, never got round to post it. i don´t know where it´s from, though.

pic with fans

... 'kay, paul!?! :D
a random sidenote: george looks so much like dhani in this one

fanpic of jane

i don´t think i´ve seen it before.

let´s go bowling!

pattie shows us what to wear. this was in honey magazin in 1964 with a lot more photos of that kind... which i am now to lazy to post.

no brandy alexander...

here´s a big one of may and john and it´s in colour and good quality too! john is not drinking a brandy alexander opposed to the stories that are around. how he´d get after is first, second, third brandy alex and all that... which is again a totally random and useless observation.

cuddle!

i bet ringo was very cuddle-some.

another combing session

reminds me a little bit of monkeys who louse eachother to show affection. only monkeys don´t nessecarily do it for the cameras.

big mighty club are we

one of my fav vids on youtube, i never get tired of it. even though i don´t understand it all due to my funny english which i merely picked up here and there without ever really learning it, the poem is fun and so is the rest of the show. and nigel. :D

and some pics from the shooting where they (so wonderfully) visualised and 'musificated' it. love it! with that music... :D and malcolm is the best of course.
the most wonderfoul larf i´ve ever ready. god help and breed you all!

there is a mountain in wales

is there? i don´t know. but i do know that the pictures miss women of the beatles posted were taken in wales in 1969. i think they were on a short vacation trip thing. and i have another picture of the occasion just with pattie... here ya go!

just a note

hey,
i´m in the middle of installing a new/old mac that will help me survive the time until i get a macbook. i´m still not over my iBook... it was such a great little white thing, survived a fire even! well all things must pass, i suppose.
this of course will slow down blogging to the minimum, because i have a sh*t lot of pics to transfer from one mac to the other (of which one mac is dead, of course...)
in short: be patient with me. i´ll come back eventually and after a lot of new folders and pics that have been brought in some kind of order i will come up with new and rare stuff (it´s there, i know it... i just have to find it in the debts of me damn folders!)
see you around!
<3

mrs dunbar

another early colour shot of marianne. i like her early look, somehow the later drug chic has something very sad about it. when it comes to the whole drug thing i´m keeping to old micheal caine alias alfie: "it wasn´t drugs that made the 60s. it was drugs that ended the 60s". we lost too many great people back then, we nearly lost miss marianne, too.

something completely different

yoko was also a first wife... a long time ago. here she is with her second husband anthony cox and her first daughter, kyoko.

another first

the beatles had a lot of firsts but so does cyn: the first beatlewife, first an only wife to come along on tour and the first wife to be attending a premiere of a beatlesfilm. i have the pic without weird typing on it and therefore only complete the post of the wonderful beatlewives blog: a hard day´s wife!

mr lennon

john and his patented 'badge to hold scarf' style. it´s a fan photo.

we´re going to a party, party

george and pattie go to the opening party of the apple tailoring shop. i still haven´t quite found out why there was an apple boutique (which sold hippie lifestyle) and an apple tailoring shop (which apparently only sold clothes)note how their outfits match... they always seem to fit so perfectly together!

a mule

mo and rich enjoy a walk during their tobago holiday with the lennons.

the artist´s self-portrait

wonder if there are pics like this of the other two? cause these were taken in the same room (--> most probably at the same occasion)

the sheik of araby

those never get old (does anyone know what kind of necklace he´s wearing?)

pattie for the ginger group

the ginger group was launched by mary quant in 1963 to help her promote her clothes better internationally.

hey i´m back!

i´m such a little idiot. i was, first time, at a festival and without knowing right on the weekend of the 40th anniversary of woodstock. and i didn´t know until one of the artists on stage mentioned it on friday, cause it was the exact date forty years ago and then i got a little excited... a little bit very very excited. the festival was just like any other festival in the past forty years i guess and i enjoyed it a lot. we had very little mud.
to celebrate i found a funny woodstock related vid presented by youtube of course, which makes it clear just what joe cocker is singing in his version of a little help from *me* friendsss... (remember it?)

i will not go mad with this anniversary, one gets a bit fed up with all the adverts for yet another even better, new and improved and unseen version of the same old woodstock movie. i have whatever old version which is four hours long (never seen it one go) and am very happy with it. the best bit of the thing is joe cocker´s performance as posted above :) and suite: judy blue eyes by csn&y, which makes about everbody and everything melt with a lot of soppy feelings :D
loving it!
another vid is from right after woodstock... beautiful song by stephen stills who still got his mud! :D

love and peace

hello, goodbye

no posting from me for the weekend, i´m off to a festival! no woodstock sadly, but i can pretend ;D so if you´re around and see a hippie girl who shouts 'no rain, NO RAIN' or sings a joe cocker worthy version of with a little help from my friends at the chiemsee reggae festival then: yep, that´s me!and fitting the occasion: pattie and george´s visit to san francisco where they went right after trying to buy an island in greece.
Love&Peace!

a cyn celebration

yes i celebrate every pic of cynthia i find and haven´t seen before. like this one which was on the beatlewives blog not so long ago. and i´m posting it again because i can pinpoint the date. happened on july 2, 1964 when the beatles landed in heathrow after they touring australia.

inside biba

it´s dramatic, it´s dark, it´s 'give me that damn dark red lipstick now and a long cigarette holder' (what do you mean 'i don´t smoke??')
just another example how many different styles the 60s combined in one decade. i hate it when people get that wrong (like a girl i know who swears she´s a retro fashion lover but can´t tell the 60s from the 50s... man, if don´t know a thing about the things you love, what do you know about things you don´t give a sh*t about???)

gripweed is back!

hee. i guess he is sleeping... i already told you about the italian night trains :D a friend of mine has it down to a sience when it comes to sleeping in awkward positions. the current favourite of her is very similar to john´s only with the head on the knees. which seems like a yoga position for less flexible chabs... waiting around sets in almeria and night trains do that to you!

big in germany, huge in sweden

before they conquered america they conquered sweden. this is from a swedish magazine... i think. i could be sure if i knew what the difference between swedish and danish is.

pattie polaroid

mega super rare :D

oldtimer

paul owned an oldtimer (from the 30s i think) and george&pattie and he&jane arrived in that car for the premiere of hiwtw.
enough of those premieres for today!
good night... i have to cure myself from that fiever now! :D

proving it

here´s mo with her glittering dress at the how i won the war premiere.

i´m developing a blogging fiever

to make things complete: two pics of the other beatle couples from the alfie premiere.

same earrings!

let´s stay in an outfit mode for a moment. here´s maureen, carrying little zac in early 66 in the same earrings and a very similar outfit.

premiere of alfie

the only pic i ever found of john&cyn and ringo&mo (except that you can only guess where ringo is) at the alfie premiere. proves they were there. and shows what they wore. which is most important for superficial lasses like me... kidding!

tiny and crappy

but in colour! whoopee! it´s cyn and john and ringo i think around the time they went to australia aswell as this pic with aunt mimi. i thought they were taken at the same occasion, but i stopped believing it when i noticed the totally different outfits on john...
that, of course, disconnects those pics completely... except that they´re both tiny and of a crappy quality.

marching for peace

here´s pattie at a march for peace apparently in summer 69.
for this pic of jane there was also a description that said it was taken at some kind of march. at that time jane had already broken off her engagement to paul so i doubt that pattie and she went together... it still could be the same march.it´s also possible that jane never went to a march for peace and the info was just plain wrong... but it would be a nice thing to imagine that those two gorgeous 60s girls did what a 60s girl is supposed to do: marching for peace. getting involved in a drug bust. that sort of things ;)
peace!

italian vogue

in 1969 pattie boyd and twiggy did a photo shoot for the italian vogue with photographer justin de villeneuve. here are two outtakea which weren´t published:
the pictures that ended up in vogue were those:
you can see a lot of pics from that shoot here and on child of the moon. it may take a while till you found it there (i didn´t).
i wish you could wear hats like that without being looked at funny (except you´re an old lady). i have a purple hat like that and only wore it around the house... silly...
twiggy lovers may kill me for saying this, but i thik pattie makes a far better model in here *hides under the table*
:D

RAIN - The Beatles Tribute

Hello There!!
I'm back again.
I'm sure some of you have heared about a tribute band to the Beatles called "Rain",
yeah, well, I was at a concert of them, it was on the 27th of June I think,
and I thought I could show you some pictures of the concert.
I met them afterwards, and they're really lovely, talented guys.
But first my friend Mary and me didn't recognized them, without the wigs....*blush*
It was really funny, we got autographs, well, it was nice.

If you wonder,
the men were called

John - Steve Landes
Paul - Joe Curatolo
George - Joey Bithorn
Ringo - Ralph Castelli

We made a "George" Poster and Joey was really amazed^^
It makes me glad ;-)

Well, here are the pic's,
I hope you enjoy.

I'm the smaller one, the blonde with the foolish grin ;-)
