the beatlewebworld is fantastic. you learn something new everyday! and there´s always someone who knows much more than you do even if your friends are already calling you a beatle geek.
when i found this pic i concluded it was at kinfauns (where else yould fans meet pattie?) well it is the home of mr & mrs harrison senior and thanks to sara of meet the beatles for real we can see the rest of the pics and read the story the fan here wrote.

yes yet another... i´ve been naive thinking i had them all. i errrhm borrowed this from the kenwood blog, which is amazing and needs to be checked out by whoever you are. even if you aren´t at all interested in john´s house. i am.

i guess they didn´t know exactly how a mango looks like that´s why ringo´s.. oh sry err mango´s face is rainbow coloured :D mango´s do have more than one colours but usually (as far as i am informed) there´s no blue...

the way they sit together here was apparently also the way they roomed together. in the anthology paul said that was because ringo liked sleeping with a light on and he was the only one who´d live with that... :D

Well,
it's Paulie's Birthday,
so I decided to bake some cakes for him.
I know, it's very childish,
but I thought, that would be a cute tribute to him.

Because we all love our Paul!!

I'm really upset, that I never could met him...
I know, that's impossible.
I don't think, that he's ever coming to Germany again.
But I'm still hoping ;-)
Well, he's one of the best musicians of all time,
that's something to be proud of.

the white feather

julian and cyn have opened the white feather: the spirit of john lennon exhibition in the beatle´s story museums in liverpool. and a (for me) new picture of cynthia and julian appeared, which also part of the exhibition... i am chasing cyn pics, so this is kinda exciting... for methe whole thing is actually pretty exciting, because cyn and jules are giving fans an insight into john´s life during the beatle years that hardly anybody else could. julian bought a lot of john´s belongings back and many are shown, along with pictures from cyn collection. i love much of the stuff yoko is doing, her current exhibition in ny seems to be very interesting, but i also find it great that cyn and jules do something too now, because they have been there! and for me liverpool is of course more tempting than ny, mainly because it´s more likely that i can make it there :D

they say it´s your birthday!

happy birthday, sir paul! and here´s what i don´t wish him for today, but actually would like to do... heehee: fan-cuddle him!

blue´s the colour of the sky...

what i love about 60s fashion is the colouring. especially in the later 60s the whole colour palette is used brilliantly... when miss lizzy and i were on holiday we had a joint closet and both our colourful clothes came together in there... it was so much fun to look at everytime we opened it that most of the time we just left the doors open! and clothes sharing among friends is the best, especially on vacation.
another thing which leads to this post is an item i fell in love with in italy but sadly couldn´t take it with me (because it was kinda expensive given the fact that i would hardly find occasions to wear it). it was a flowery kaftan with shades of blue, brown and pink. to get over my grief and to welcome summer which finally even arrived around here: COLOURS!some of these are actually pucci designs... which reminds me that i have to check out the matthew williamson for h&m collection... hee i love colours... they make me happy! i think that colours could make the whole world a happier place and it always makes me smile to see people in the street flashing with colours, sticking out of the mass of grey, blacks and beiges.

this is probably known by everyone, but i love it so much that i had to post it. soo cartoon-ish... just the way george describes their visit to elvis when they forget where they are going and then half fall out of the car giggling all the way through..

meat free monday!

hi!
today macca launched the meat free monday in london in the st. james park. the mccartney batch was there, aswell as yoko, kate bosworth and others. going meat free if even for just a day in a month can help protect nature, because a LOT of the emissions of CO2 are actually from the meat market... which is kind of disgusting when you think of it... your "fresh" meat happily travelled around the world blowing a lot of rubbish into the atmosophere before it lands on your table... bah.
i´ve gone vegetarian one and a half years ago, but i have to admit i define vegeterian more as a person who eats very little meat. most of the time i eat none, but sometimes i have real cravings and i put that down to the fact that my body just need certain substances to stay healthy and before i have to take pills i rather eat a bit meat. REAL vegetarians laugh at me but well... i take a lot of care about where my food comes from (i even know the farm) so i think it´s okay...

i haven´t posted a beatle in what feels like years. shame on me... in the meantime i even contemplated if i am a stones fan. double shame... i mean i am on some level and find beatles vs. stones silly... but not on that mania level... i think. well, john, work your charme on me please... hope this helps.

on a sidenote concerning these pictures: i find it oh so very fascinating that more and more pics of the fabs are showing up now and then. i mean john messing with the beard was probably only one funny moment and there already quite an amount of photos of the occasion. now think of it: they did have fun with things around them a lot and there was almost always a person with a camera around. they were constantly being photographed. and all these pictures have to be somewhere... it´s only a matter of time for them to appear somewhere. maybe some are lost forever because some people are just dumb or ignorant or just plain stupid and threw them away, but there must be millions (okay maybe thousands) not seen and half forgotten pics somewhere. plus the private photos. which of course am curious about, but on the other hand they are private... blahblah....ah stop it honey!

look! she nicked it from the fashion show! heee... trousers and shoes are the same too. they aren´t wedges... well you couldn´t really tell from the airportpics i have.

1968, at the revolution club. for the lack of an exact date i´d say pre-india. my sense of time in the 60s is so that i place everything pre- or post- whatever beatle-event it is. my thought process goes something like "well that´s 68 when john got divorced from cyn but was out and about with her pretty often before that and wears his hair exactly the way he does in the hey bulldog video which is around the making of yellow submarine (the lp). they also filmed the little bit in yellow submarine at the end of the film before the trip to india. after the india trip it didn´t take long until cyn walked on into yoko and john and he then went to the permiere of yellow submarine with yoko. so there´s only january left because in february they flew to india, stayed there until april maybe and then john is on this NY trip with paul because of apple with another hairdo. the same hairdo as from the yellow submarine premiere... even the same suit i think... january 68... i´ll go and look it up."
yah... i´m a cofused person with a lot of funny associations and synapses in my brain. looked it up and it´s january 25.
and now for the more inportant part. it is an ossie clark collection and pattie is modelling. she was crazy about ossie´s clothes. i like them too, but for knowledge of an expert you´ll have to go and see what miss peelpants writes. and sells. if i only had the money...


a few months later pattie and george and ringo and maureen plus jane birkin were at the airport to catch a flight to cannes filmfestival where they promoted wonderwall and attended the premiere. i think it´s something ossie clark too what pattie´s wearing here. but i am by no means sure. she´s wearing the same or a similar thingy at the fashion show too if you look closely. oh the vid quality to be better ... please let it be ossie!!
whatever it is, i like it. the trousers got very wide flares and she´s wearing nice black wedges (which you can see in the vid too)

back on dry land once again

hi!
i am back from my vacation, but still unable to produce anything postable. i´m sorry, but i think i just left a bit of my heart at a very beautiful place and the now forced arrival back in daily life apparently affected my blogging-ability negatively (not sure if i ever had this ability though). generally functioning seems like a very hard thing to do now anyway... i wanna go back! *waaaiiil*
so please let me me recover from my state of over-relaxation until i´m able to actually notice that there are quite some beautiful things waiting to be posted and talked about. i also have to somehow get it into my saltwatered brain that sun-tanning is not a job which is able to earn one a living. plish-plashing isn´t either. aswell as sleeping. damn. got to plan my life anew.
before that i go for a well-earned sleep! you don´t get much of that in italian night-trains.
