just a little message: i know i can´t type. it´s not only because that i´m not native english of course, it´s also that i seem to have a severe problem with my eyes cause i only see typos in my posts like years later! XD so if you find mistakes, keep quiet about it and act as if they weren´t there... i can´t help it anyway, they just happen!!!

julian on facebook
i´m not on facebook or myspace and i have reasons for it... same reasons why i shouldn´t have a blog, but well...
julian lennon is on facebook and myspace and i´ve been surfing both sites while i actually researched... errr... the ocean ;) for a presentation. which is connected in a funny or strange way, as julian produced whaledreamers and his hit saltwater is the hymne of greenpeace and i am quite green in my own way and therefore greenpeace-involved and i love whales and the ocean and saltwater is certainly my favourite place/element/liquid/blah in the world. ´s all connected and vibratin´, dude... sry jude.
anyway, mean and evil as i am, i snatched two of julian´s facebook pictures. two which are actually all over the place with beatle-peebles, but i wanted them here with the special annotation that I NICKED THEM from JULIAN´s facebook page! got it?? :D
this pic is there with the annotation that jules had to buy john´s jacket at an auction... which is too much for my brain to progress, because *aaargh* he shouldn´t have to dig his dad´s stuff up at auctions, he should be able to just get up in the attic and look through old thingies such as records, pics, clothes just as i do (which is weird in my case because i wear my dad´s old shirts :D) and the other bit which i can´t believe sometimes is that this pic is from 67, when my own daddy was only 7, which means julian could be my father technically. aha´s like this throw me back into reality in an awful way... like: 'damn... the 60s are over and everybody who was there is old or dead'. and to find a good ending for my terrible rambling: in moments like this i´m so glad that neither john nor jules nor any famous person is my dad, even if i love the lennons or anything 60s-rockstar-cliques to pieces.
hee hee... this is cute... is jules wearing john´s star from shea stadium???
luv and stuff

one boring night at the dakota

aawww aren´t they sweet... those photos look exactly like the ones my friends and i always take of ourselves when somebody has a camera at hand... which happens pretty often :D only that my friends and i always freak out and start pulling the weirdest faces, which then makes us giggle so hard that we can´t hold the camera rightly into out faces, so somebody is always cut off, which means we have to go on taking pics till like forever because there´s always someone who is only half on the pic... or looks normal while the rest seems out of their minds XD

i has a dentist
he doesn´t give me lsd though... maybe he will someday :D
the more important part is that he looks like this:
and when i say like this, i mean exactly like this... he could be his twin-brother... only that my dentist in more interested in buddhism and tibet, whereas george of course is something like a representative of indian culture for european dumb asses.
and being a young silly gal my next thought was... my dentist probably once looked like this:
yum. ´nuff said :D

designer error

very long ago i posted go geometric and said all the designs were quant designs... i was soooo wrong, the two dresses up there modeled by jenny boyd are foale and tuffin designs.

the last pic is from a wonderful site called vintage a peel. take a look around there!
sooo now i unmade this mistake and can pleasantly dream of going shopping in carnabystreet.
love and peace and good night!

talking about swapping wives...

hee, no i think paul and pattie never happened, but who knows... in this pic george looks like he wouldn´t have noticed anyway ;D
but imagine it was pattie and paul getting married and having babies XD huge doe eyes, long lashes, a pouty mouth and little plumb cheeks... the cute one plus the dollybird makes supercuteness overload!

pop

i´m such a clichée on legs, it´s horrible. i like pop-art, too... and of course i´m interested in andy warhol and have read his diary (the funny red one with the cut-outs and see-through prints in it) and i´m amazed with the whole 60s (and 70s) cliques and how they were in different groups and how everybody knew everyone... yeah and how they swapped wives and girlfriends :D
but most of all it´s fascinating how the art everyone produced is so closely linked. and that a pop-art giant like andy meets a pop-music giant like john... and that it´s nothing special at all!
can you help me with the first pic? is it from around the same time or am i completely wrong concluding that?

Lipa

actually stands for the liverpool institute for performing arts (where i´d like to go... if i´m not going to study the beatles in liverpool... 'what are you studying?' - 'the beatles. you?' XD) before i knew that i thought it was a combination of linda and paul, just like johnandyoko is a name for a couple.
linda and paul got married today in 1969, that´s why i thought about it. well they are not the only couple that got married in march... next week it´s gonna be johnandyoko! on my b-day!!

wear it like ringo. again!
either rings and heather were such good friends that they liked to wear similar clothes (i used to do that with my bf all the time when i was little) or she just nicked his style, because she knew what was cool...
let´s invent ... the mini!

quant usually gets tagged as the inventer of the mini... i wouldn´t be too sure about that, but i guess you can say she made it fashionable. here she is wearing one of her own designs. i really like her early designs, the ones she´s most famous for. they are so simple and easy-going and even if they are miles away from the classic way of dressing before quant, i´d say they´re timeless.

paula boyd
she is the youngest of the boyd sisters and the least known. nevertheless she was quite involved in the circus of the 60s cliques. despite her young age, she went to greece with the beatles and their entourage, when they attempted to buy an island... they never did of course (john later bought an island... but for himself and not for a beatle-hippie-holiday-home with an own recording studio in the middle of their four villas and the other houses of people they liked and needed... gaah i just like the idea! why didn´t they?? why???)later when eric clapton got obsessed with pattie boyd, who was married to george at the time (we of course know all that... famous rock love triangle) he sort of got into a relationship with her little sister, cause he couldn´t have 'the real thing'... pattie once mentioned that paula got into a heroin addiction at that time, too. more i cannot say about paula boyd. only show you all the pics i could find in various versions :D here we go!
